When Reading About Environmentally Friendly Energy

January 24th, 2012

I remember a while back when reading about environmentally friendly energy and seeing ocean power as a possible energy source. While I think that is a really cool idea, I think one of the problems with the green movement is that it still keeps thinking of things in far too centralized of a manner. We must use many different energy sources rather than just trying to fins one. For example, solar is very viable, and so is wind energy Another thing that people do not think about is how we construct our houses. There are ways to build your house so that as much natural light as possible keeps the house lit, and then electrical lights only become necessary much later in the day. By simply building this a little differently, we can save a lot. I think this is the subtlety of switching to a green life. We need to shift how we think just a little bit.
